Our Weekend With Duffy

The first weekend in January, Norrin had his turn with Duffy, the class bear.  Each student took Duffy home for a weekend and tried to have as many adventures as possible.  Norrin made it very clear that we were not taking Duffy anyplace he'd been before, so we were pre-warned that this was not going to be a cheap weekend.  We love seeing the lights at Longwood Gardens and the second adventure had to be a trip to the aquarium.  I think Duffy had a pretty awesome time with us.  Ani Rose was a little possessive of Duffy.  She called him "B" and Norrin was very patient with his sister. He tried to explain that Duffy was not hers and when that failed, he would hand over the bear with only a slight look of disgust.

Picking Norrin and Duffy up from school.  We had Auntie Anne's pretzels and Norrin shared with Duffy.
Of course, Duffy needed a sling to be carried in for all his adventures and this knitting mama was more than happy to oblige.
 Longwood Gardens.

We spent the most time in the kids' garden, playing in the fountains.  At least I had a change of clothes for Ani Rose.  Norrin was out of luck.

The aquarium...where its far easier to backpack my child than try to maneuver a stroller through the crowds.
 Jellyfish!
 Sharks!
 Octopus!

A little snippet of Norrin being Norrin.  He's a truly animated child.  I love him.

By the end of the day, both kiddos were pretty exhausted.
 And so was Duffy.
