More Random Shots of Our Days

These pictures were taken outside of Three Monkeys Cafe- our new favorite breakfast spot.  Ani Rose decided to bring her Elmo Halloween bag as her "purse" for the day.  I think she put a ball and one of her small stuffed animals in there.

So far, we've had one halfway decent snowfall.  After work, Todd took Norrin sledding at the nearby golf course.  This was the place Todd used to go sledding as a kid, so it was nice to see a tradition continued.

Two weekends ago, I took the kids to a Discovering the Dinosaurs exhibit.  It was really cool and the kids loved it.  I found it very difficult to wrangle two kids by myself in a crowded convention center and still take semi-decent photos.  There were very large and life-like displays.
The dinosaur bones were a favorite for both the kids, for some reason.  Maybe its cool to see what's on the inside of something?
They also had digging for fossils.  It was very crowded, so they each had a short time for digging before I asked them to give someone else a turn.  Both the kiddos willingly shared and I was happily surprised (more by Ani than Norrin).

On another outing, we went to the mall.  The kids rode a merry-go-round and Ani Rose was a little more excited by it than Norrin Radd.

 I made a heart-shaped cake for Valentine's Day.
The Friday after Valentine's Day, the Y had a game of Minute To Win It.  You were given a number and a a color and when either was called, you were to participate in whatever game they set up.  Ani would steal the props to whatever game just finished up.

In this game, Norrin had to inch his hand up a nylon stocking to get a coin in the bottom.  It was all boys participating and not a single one could do it.

There was lots and lots of drawing by Miss Ani Rose.
And when she saw the camera on the table, she requested a photo shoot by pointing to the camera and saying "Cheese, mama".

And last, but not least, I took the kids to the Crayola Factory.  It was a long drive and Todd was playing football, but it was totally worth it.  Such a great place.  They give you a lot for the price of admission and if I hadn't gotten hungry, the kids would've stayed there all day. They spent the most amount of time at the modelling clay section.

There was a section with sidewalks and chalk and Ani Rose threw her entire body into it :).
There were huge bins of crayons and pictures to color.

Before we left, we took a picture with a huge crayon.  Norrin refused to smile nice and Ani Rose was sneakily coloring on the crayon's hand.
On the long ride home, Ani was mad at the sun for getting in her eyes while she was trying to nap.  This is how she decided to try and fix it.
